The course goal of the Basic Pistol / Rifle / Shotgun Courses is to teach the fundamental, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using the selected Firearm safely.
Topics Covered:
- Safe firearm handling
- Firearm parts and operation
- Ammunition types and its function
- Common malfunctions and how to deal with them
- Shooting fundamentals and an opportunity to develop them on the range
- How to select, clean and store a firearm
- Review of various activities available to help participants develop their shooting skills
Certificates are awarded to participants who successfully complete this basic course.
Basic Pistol Completion Certificate meets the requirement of Florida Concealed Carry Permit
